感情付き合成音声を伴う振動触覚刺激の心理的影響の調査

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the psychological effects that occur when adding vibrotactile stimulation to remote communication. To make sure the psychological effect happened from vibrotactile stimulation, we conducted an experiment using an emotional synthetic voice with added vibrotactile stimulation. For the stimuli, we recorded vibrations of knocking a board device at 80, 100, 120 and 140 BPM and presented them along with angry and cheerful synthetic female voices. Results showed that vibrotactile stimulation affects how positive or negative the synthetic voice sounds: at a slow rhythm the voice was perceived as negative, and at a fast rhythm as positive. We think that vibrotactile stimulation can carry part of the nonverbal information in remote communication.
